Resignation Leaves Open Seat on Grand Rapids Village Council
Updated: Sep 25, 2022
The Village of Grand Rapids is accepting applications to fill an empty seat on council.
According to the village website, interested village residents who are registered to vote in the village of Grand Rapids must submit their resume and letter of application to the administrative office. Applicants can do so by either dropping the documents into the 24 hour drop box at the office or mail them to Village of Grand Rapids, P.O. Box 309, 17460 Sycamore Road, Grand Rapids, Ohio 43522.

Letters should include the name of the candidate, address, the date the candidate became a village resident, the candidate’s experience and occupation, and why the candidate wants to be on council.
Council has 30 days to fill the vacant seat and it must be filled by June 8. If council does not appoint someone by the deadline the mayor has the right to make the appointment.
Though not verified, it appears Bob Krabill’s name is no longer listed as a council member on the official Grand Rapids website.
